⚠️ Pet approval required prior to booking. A maximum of two small dogs approved at host's discretion, subject to breed restrictions, weight, and guest agreeing to house rules including sending a photograph of the dog immediately after booking. No other animals will be considered. - Pet fee is $100 per dog per stay, non-refundable. - Potty pads are prohibited. - Crating is required, pets cannot be left to roam when unsupervised. - Pet must not be out of control, excessive barking, aggressive or damaging behavior or lack of sanitation. - Additional cleaning fees may apply for excessive pet hair, accidents, stains, or unusual messes. ⚠️ All Wheel Drive (AWD / 4x4) vehicle could be required to reach the cabin in the event of snow/ice (possible in Oct-May). We strongly suggest winter tires or chains if snow or ice is forecasted as they can significantly enhance traction and control and could be necessary on steep mountain roads. ▻ Driveway is paved, nearly flat, & can accommodate 6 vehicles (when double parked). 🌟 The first entrance to our street and the “S” turn seems like a nail-biter, but there is an ALTERNATE entrance to avoid this. Directions are provided after booking. 🌟Provided: STARTER KIT of toilet paper, paper towels, hand/dish soap, detergents, and garbage bags provided. 🌟Guest To Bring: shampoo/conditioner, body wash, charcoal, firewood, zip locks, foil, coffee/filters, sweetener, cream, tea, etc., or purchase locally. ★ The 3rd bedroom is an open-air loft and is NOT private or enclosed. ★ Outdoor shower is not available in the winter due to the possibility of frozen pipes. ▻ The local shooting club can be heard occasionally, the area is perfectly safe. ▻ There are BUGS 🐛 in the mountains and you might find some unwelcome guests. ▻ We have regular pest control so it makes sense you might find critters that didn’t make it. ▻ The cabin is on a mountain well and the well pump requires power, if an outage occurs, water will stop flowing after the tank runs out, this happens rarely but is important to note. ▻ The cabin is on a septic system, ONLY toilet paper can be flushed. ★ Cell service in the cabin, mountains, and local area can be spotty/weak. ★ Download the local maps before arriving so that you do not get lost. It bears repeating, that you will lose cell service! Turn on wifi calling in your mobile phone’s settings to mitigate this. ★ We recommend the purchase of Travel Insurance for all planned vacations. Travel Insurance will protect your investment in the event of weather that would make roads impassable to vehicles with 4WD. ⚠️ TN homes are built for a moderate climate and although rare, TN can experience extremely cold/hot weather. During extremes, the HVAC system will likely maintain mid 60s (cold) and mid 70s (hot). Rest assured our cabin and major components are newly built/installed and we will address any issues promptly during your stay. ⚠️ Do not run a/c and fireplace simultaneously, the unit will freeze over. ⚠️ Always ensure that the shower curtains are positioned low enough to be inside the shower/tub at all times. Water spilling onto the floor will leak through the ceiling or floor into the crawl space. This simple step can prevent very costly damage. It may sound silly but unfortunately this is a common issue. ⚠️ Bears are Knotty, they know how to open car doors and will do so to look for food. They will cause damage to your vehicle and the cabin if doors/windows are left open OR unlocked. LOCK windows/car doors/trash receptacles. Do not leave food, coolers, or trash outside and clean the grill after use. Do not allow children to play unsupervised. Damage and liability will be your responsibility.
